Ahhhh, tis the season for “gaudy decorations” as my friend Bri mentioned last week when we were decorating her house. Also, tis the season for busy schedules made even busier by cool things going on around town. Here are a few things to pencil into your day-planner. (Does anyone use those anymore?)

I don’t think I can adequately express how excited I am about Bazaar Bizarre. I’ve been dying to go for YEARS, and finally, the stars have lined up and I will be able to be surrounded by handmade goodness and the awesome people who make it all happen.
I know it’s a little difficult to buy exclusively handmade items during the holidays… but it’s good to try! This is where Bazaar Bizarre comes in handy. Support those who are trying to create goods in ethical and sustainable ways. Also, handmade gifts are extra special because they’re often one-of-a-kind… and they’re made with love. “It’s all for love. L-O-V-E.” – Michael Jackson (Did anyone else see This Is It?)
Here’s the info:

I think it has been a year or so since I highlighted my favorite bloggers, many of whom have fallen off the map. When they stopped updating my mind went to a very morbid place. What happens to a blog once the author stops updating? What happened to the author? Omg, did they die? Did they include their login ID and password in their will so their loved ones could continue their legacies? Most likely not. Anyway, I hope they are alive and well.
We are slowly creeping toward the end of another year, so I feel like I should recognize other bloggers who have inspired me, entertained me and/or kept me informed this year. Cheers, kids.

A United Farm Workers mural in the Sonoma State University library
And so do I. I’m talking about San Francisco here, my pretties. I went there this weekend instead of my planned trip to Las Vegas for a friend’s birthday, which is fine with me, seeing as how I was there a mere two weeks ago. Frequenting Sin City can be bad for the soul, according to me.

I came to work today and saw my coworker wearing this bracelet. I had to share it with you guys. As creepy as that movie is, his bracelet cracked me up.
