Happy Thursday, and happy Hanukkah, everyone! Last night I was invited to a hanukkah dinner (my first!) and it was great. We had beet & carrot latkes (or, beet-kes, as someone aptly dubbed them), challah, potato soup, and fun Hanukkah-themed cookies. The highlight was hearing the origins of the holiday.
I couldn’t help but take a picture of the pretty decorations Kate made. They’re really easy to make. I think black, gold and white would be an awesome combo for my room.

Today the mister and I were going to pay a visit to the Exploratorium since I’ve never been. (TACTILE DOME! I wanna touch-a touch-a touch-a touch things in the dark.) But the weather is poopy so, next time. That’s ok, though. I have way too much to do. I might have to head to the Mission at some point to buy some liner fabric. In the meantime, my To Do list includes making coffee, breakfast, and listen to more Joanna Newsom – she’s so perfect for a rainy day.
