A United Farm Workers mural in the Sonoma State University library
And so do I. I’m talking about San Francisco here, my pretties. I went there this weekend instead of my planned trip to Las Vegas for a friend’s birthday, which is fine with me, seeing as how I was there a mere two weeks ago. Frequenting Sin City can be bad for the soul, according to me.
We were lucky enough to be in Healdsburg during their sidewalk sale.
Above are bowls made from telephone wire.
I headed up to the great Bay Area on Friday and proceeded to spend the weekend with Marissa’s family. They’re a lot of fun. Especially her grandma. I love looking at the old photos in her home. I love doing that everytime I visit anyone’s house. I guess I’m kind of a nosy nostalgia junkie.
A quick photo taken at Selby, one of the best tasting rooms in Healdsburg
We went wine tasting in Healdsburg and it was great. I got a little schnoky (on accident of course) and had many laughs with Lady Mar.
A painting from a series of paintings that featured super heroes sitting with their backs turned in the La Crema tasting room.
Her Dad was kind enough to drive both of us back into the city on Sunday, and drop me off at the airport. Driving through the city with him is always a trip down memory lane… his memory of course. He went to SF State during the Vietnam war. What an amazing time to be in San Francisco, and in college for that matter.
